Lyon and Denmark

Lyon's airport

I was in Lyon to visit my friend's Rachael and Tony who you met here and here. Michaela (who is looking much more grown up now) loves the carousels in Lyon (almost as much as me!).

I flew out of Paris towards my next adventure and spent about an hour getting dinner and wandering about before I had to get to the airport. I took this picture of the city.

And these pictures from the air.

I went to Denmark to visit my sister and family. She was doing a home exchange in the beautiful Northern part of the country where the scenery is beautiful, but the water is freezing.

See how there is no one in the water...

The misleadingly named Buried Church (most of the church has been dismantled and they left the steeple for tourists). It still looks quite fascinating as you approach though.

The giant moving sand dune in North Jutland is pretty incredible. According to wiki, "The dune contains a total of 4 million m³ of sand. The wind moves it in a north-easterly direction up to 18 m a year."

Denmark also has one palm beach. There are 100 palm trees that are put out by the municipality of Frederikshavn for the summer months. The water is actually fairly warm here (for the North), but that's only because the water is quite shallow.
